Mustardseeds What: Mustardseeds is the name of our mid-week children's program during the summer. The name comes from two passages in the Scripture. One is Matthew 17:20 and the other is Luke 17:6 which use the phrase "if you have faith as a mustard seed." This is especially appropriate for our little children. (There are some other passages which mention the mustard seed, but these do not have to do with personal faith, but instead they deal with the expansion of the kingdom of God.) Who: Anyone from age 4 through 6th Grade, in two groups: age 4 to 2nd grade, and 3rd to 6th grade When: Every Wednesday mid-May through mid-September 6:30 to 7:45pm Cost: Free Younger Children: There is a secure nursery provided for your younger children. What do we do: Song practice; Bible homework review; Bible lesson. We will occasionally do "interviews" with some of our older saints to hear their testimonies and learn from their years of walking with the Lord. Each week the children will work on a song to present later in the summer to the congregation on a Sunday morning. A Bible verse or a couple of "catechism" questions will be assigned for them to learn weekly. These will be reviewed in the Bible review time. Then a new Bible lesson will be taught. The catechism question-and-answer format is a helpful way to teach basic Christian truths to our children. Here is the weekly schedule: For more information call: Mrs. Naomi Postiff @ 734-975-8949 or 734-971-2837. If your church does not offer a mid-week children's program, we would invite you to come and join us!
